I have problem with PulseAudio, it keeps muting and unmuting microphone randomly.
Or maybe it is a problem with ALSA...
I tried to find some trigger that is causing it but without success.
Has everyone faced the same problem?

Lenovo Ideapad 700
Xfce4 4.14pre2
Sound Card: HDA Intel PCH at 0xd2320000 irq 140

I was just having a similar issue a moment ago, and found this old thread.
I find it likely that egg is correct about this:
This is likely an issue with the auto jack-sensing features in the hardware itself.
In which case, one way to work around, if you are using pulseaudio, is to disable module-switch-on-port-available. I commented it out in /etc/pulse/default.pa:
### Should be after module-*-restore but before module-*-detect
#load-module module-switch-on-port-available
makepkg-optimize · indicator-powersave · pantheon-{3d,lite} · {pantheon,higan}-qq

This doesn't solve my problem.
I have an issue with input devices in pavucontrol where internal microphone mutes unmutes randomly regardless if i have something connected to port.
Offline
I agree, if it was a jack sensing issue, I'd expect the source index to be much higher than 1, as port related detection issues would lead to a removal and readding of the source, which would increment the index each time.
FWIW are you sure it's random? You are unlikely to "just" notice the mic being muted, what do you use for testing? FWIW
#just to disable some other autodetects that might have a relevance here
amixer -c0 set 'Auto-Mute Mode',0 'Disabled' #That should only have a relevance for speaker muting on headphone connect, but maybe something's wired weirdly
amixer -c0 set 'Auto-Mute Mode',0 'Loopback Mixing',0 'Disabled'
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/* #Post the output
Offline
I noticed it because of the Pulse Audio Plugin xfce4 panel item, which annoyingly shows notifications of muting and unmuting.
I think i tried in the past disabling Auto Muting and Loopback but nothing helped.
Frustrating thing is i don't know how to provoke this behaviour it happens randomly, you think you solved the problem but in few days you get a surprise.
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

I think that the problem is with xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin. When the problem occured i removed xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin and watched on pavucontrol and alasmixer for changes in microphone status (mute and unmute) and didn't find any.
So i ended up deleting pulseaudio-plugin and using volumeicon which isn't perfect but does the job.
