I have been able to find 99% of the solutions thanks to the wiki/forums so I don't have to post often. So, THANK YOU.
Problem:
I use wicd-gtk as my network manager on my laptop. I can connect to the wifi but I cannot seem to find the option to "share to other computers" using my wired ethernet port.
What I have tried:
1. I have found solutions to ubuntu with other network managers.
2. I have tried looking into the .config files in /etc/wicd/wired-settings.conf as well as poking around in the /usr/share/wicd/ directory for any hints.
3. Also, when bring up the wicd-gtk, under wired network, properties turned up nothing. Under preferences, 'external programs' tab, not sure what ethtool and mii-tool do so
I left it on automatic.
Hardware:
Thinkpad x220, arch linux install (upto date), I think that's it as far as relevance goes.
Now I am here. Any suggestions?
Thank you for the feedback ahead of time.

What makes you think wicd provides this functionality? Some cursory googlers only mention to explicitly disable wicd so that you can explicitly enable wifi sharing via other means.
Online
Was not assuming I could but also was not assuming I couldn't. Hence, bringing me here.
I gather from your response I can NOT. So thank you for your reply.
Cheers
