Hello!
I just installed Arch today, and I'm having a bit of trouble getting my secondary HDD to show up. It doesn't show up in Thunar or any other file managers I've tried, but it showed up just fine when running Manjaro, which I was previously running before earlier today.
Can anyone help me out a bit?

What have you tried so far to diagnose the cause of the issue?

I apologize. So far, I've tried mounting the drive normally, and making myself the owner of the drive by doing
sudo chown -R jamesp /dev/sdaboth of which came out to no results.

/dev/sda would usually have partitions on it such as /dev/sda1 which you would normally mount.
Did you format the block device directly without partitioning it?
You would normally address permissions issues by changing the permission on the mount point or passing options to mount.
What was the mount command you tried that produced no output?

I apologize, I'm a bit loopy today, but when I said "No Results" I meant that it didn't work and produced an error message.
When doing
sudo chown -R jamesp /dev/sdait came with no output at all, and nothing changed.
Then the output for the mount commands
sudo mount /dev/sda1
mount: /dev/sda1: can't find in /etc/fstab.
sudo mount /dev/sda
mount: /dev/sda: can't find in /etc/fstab.Offline
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Th … me_Manager , for thunar to mount devices you need to have 'gvfs' and 'thunar-volman' installed
also give this page a read if you havent already: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/File_systems

When mounting a filesystem using the mount command if there is not an entry in the fstab for that mount you need to specify both filesystem and mount point.

Lets start over. What is the output of lsblk ?
