Hey everyone!
I've been struggling to get registered there, as I am struggling to get my network connection working...
First of all, I haven't touched back to my laptop for a month since I was so demoralized that I gave up for a while! But here am I, ready again to struggle with ArchLinux despite I love it! I am using NetworkManager on my Thinkpad P1 (2nd gen). The fact is that it works half the time : at start up if my wifi is already registered and that it knew before that I wanted to get connected to that wifi IT WORKS! However when disconnecting from a wifi connection and trying to reconnect to another, my machine literally breaks up. Actually it keeps notifying me like it is gonna connect soon, but after a while another notification pops up and tells me that connection failed, and it is doing it till I reboot my computer.
I've been looking for that purpose but nothing was found badly!
I am using ArchLinux with deepin environment.
If you will to help me lads!
Yann

Please edit your thread title and change it to one that describes your issue: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … ow_to_post
The read the wiki page on wireless and paste some actual error messages: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855

After you edit the title, please post the output of systemctl list-unit-files --state enabled
I've a hunch you have multiple things fighting for control of your NIC.

Actually I have tried some NIC but I've always attempted not to make them activate in the same time. It is a very weird thing. Sorry for asking but I don't understand well the meaning of "full output", do you consider this as a full output?
Thanks a lot. If wished I can record my screen in order to show you what is happening.

I understood that you need the full output. But what do you mean with it? How do you do a full output

You replace the claim "my machine literally breaks" with actual error messages. And you don't truncate or filter those messages.

Start with the complete system journal.
"sudo journalctl -b", you can use https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pastebin to feed it into a patebin service.

How did you install Arch? What instructions or guide did you use?

Hey!
Here is the link i used with sprunge.us (it wasn't fit with pastebin as it was a big file)
http://sprunge.us/gFGIVk (i don't really know how long it lasts)
I've been installing Arch using the guide on the official wiki/french wiki and I used some videos when I had hardships.

The system is using a somewhat old kernel 5.2.9-arch1-1-ARCH. Can you perform a full system update or is the network not stable enough?

As currently the network in my home isn't working, I will try and get back in touch with you when done. Thanks!

There're two APs, 'Livebox-23E6' and 'R1'.
Whenever NM connects to a network it immediately figures it gets a CTRL-EVENT-SIGNAL-CHANGE and checks whether there might be a better connection (you started w/ R1, then mostly went on the livebox and in the end are back to R1 again) - the connection is constantly re-established.
=> Drop NM (stop and disable it), connect wifi-menu to one of the APs. You should™ have a stable wifi?
