Arch OS backup system

I'm currently using rsnapshot in order to backup my / recuirsively, excluding some directories (like, dev, proc, etc)
So far, it's going good - The target is on an external USB, attached to the machine.
However, I wanted to, somehow, pulll those backups out to another machine.
I was thinking maybe just keeping it simple and rsync'ing the rsnapshot backups.
Other solution that comes to ming is to use bacula, bit I think it's too complex for a simple home environment.
What other options would I have?

It's important I can keep snapshots or different restore points.

I've done this for years - as you say it's simple and it works.
