Hi Guys,
Something sinister happened with the latest bind update.
Some zones that were being referred to in named.conf had their files disappear from /var/named(something about root/hints something something).
Fortunately I deleted /var/named and reinstalled and reconfigured bind and it now works BUT I keep getting this error:
configuring command channel from '/etc/rndc.key'
couldn't add command channel 127.0.0.1#953: file not found
I have dnssec-enable yes
and dnssec-validation no
in named.conf
Also nowadays one has to SPECIFICALLY disable ipv6 in /usr/lib/systemd/system/named.service(using the "-4" flag) otherwise named wont work.
Any feedback is most welcome...
Thanks Guys

There's a topic about this on arch-general ML, see http://archlinux.2023198.n4.nabble.com/ … 24815.html

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
