Bugs? Trying to get my Intel Wireless 7260 Worked

It is bit weird, my Intel wireless 7260 once worked with arch live usb...

But after the installation, it doesn't work anymore... I tried arch live usb again, it no longer work ...

When connecting to Wi-Fi networks, iwlwifi reports "No beacon heard and the time event is over already".

I found this report:

It says that 7260 will not be supported by the newest firmware versions: the last firmware that was released for 3160, 7260 and 7265 is -17.ucode.

So, how can I get it worked? The drivers are in linux-firmware? how to switch them?

Please post the output of the following

dmesg
systemctl list-unit-files --state=enabled

You can see the firmware supplied by linux-firmware with `pacman -Ql linux-firmware` which includes usr/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-7260-17.ucode.

The linux-firmware package contains iwlwifi-7260-17.ucode (and a few earlier versions as well) so it should still work.

Check to see if the firmware is loaded:

dmesg | grep firmware

And btw, drivers != firmware.

If it worked before for the live image but doesn't now in the same environment then that would suggest a hardware problem.

Have you tried a live image from a different distribution (perhaps one with older packages)?

If it worked before for the live image but doesn't now in the same environment then that would suggest a hardware problem.

I tried it again.

I found that if Wi-Fi is open (no password required) and if wifi is 5G (with password), then it works well.

It doesn't work with WPA2 and 2.4G.

Sorry, I thought it is bit messy - here is the dmesg output.

Just simply use wifi-menu to generate a profile at the first time, and netctl start the profile.
