Never a problem until I go messing with things.
Seriously Arch never breaks on me until I break it.
Except for some weird thing with the display that makes white on webpages and applications very off white and the blacks look almost charcoal on some things.
Have found out I need the display calibrated but since I use dark themes on anythign I can anyway I don't worry about it much.
Also the ram usage is a little high at the time I ran neofetch because I have Firefox and a few other things open right now.
Idle on boot it is around 550mb and I never have trouble with running out of ram unless I purposely open a zillion Firefox tabs and a bunch of applications(I did this a few times to see how far I could push it LoL).
It is the cpu that ends up being hammered on before I even come close to running out of ram.

Lenovo ThinkPad E330 - I've got Arch Linux running on it for years. It works out of the box as far as I can remember. It's old hardware so no reason not to.
Anyway, I'm writing this post because I've just upgraded my CPU from i3-3120M to i7-3632QM and I decided to share some details in case someone else also is interested in similar upgrade. This i7 was never officially supported in this model. I also couldn't find any post across the web that would confirm that Lenovo E330 indeed works with i7-3632QM (there were only some posts that it should). So... new CPU works out of the box!
BIOS detected it instantly, Arch Linux too (both updated to latest versions). I did not reinstall Operating System prior or after CPU change - I did not see any reason to do so.
Temperatures when idle are 30 / 40 degree Celsius.
Average temperatures during normal usage (music, few pages open in web browser, mail client, etc): 48 - 52 degree Celsius
Stress test (approx ten to fifteen minutes): around 70 degrees, average more than 70, highest noticed temperature was 76 degrees. Test scenario: create new world in video game called Minecraft and roam around.
Obviously I've changed the thermal compound (used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut). I'm using stock fan.
Temperatures of course will differ from laptop to laptop due to environment etc. It's just my use case.
FYI, I've turned Hyper Threading off due to security concerns.

What can I say, I like Gnome. Don't hate. Only include packages you actually use, turn off Animations, and the response is snappy with a modest footprint. The memory use shown above includes Firefox with several tabs open.
Purism products ship with Atheros wifi to avoid binary blobs. I replaced my Atheros card with an Intel 9260 for significantly better performance.
Librem's US keyboards have a weird quirk: the backslash/vertical-bar key (i.e. "\ |") sends the wrong scancode. Recent versions of systemd include hwdb files to compensate for this. If you boot into initrd or don't use systemd, `setkeycodes 56 43` will fix this bug.

Samsung ATIV Book 6 (NP670Z5E-X01).
Bought it in 2013. It still works perfectly and beats many modern laptops. Has its problems with software, both with Windows and Linux, but nothing that can't be managed. Few years ago I've changed its HDD for SSD and added 8Gb RAM.

Lenovo Ideapad 3 (14 inch), running pretty, pretty well after some tweaking. As a big plus, it only came with 8GB of RAM, but one of the 4GB modules is removable, so I already ordered a 16GB stick -- which couldn't be ordered with the laptop, unfortunately, might've been cheaper. Got a pretty good deal on it, anyway, so it's still very much worth it.
