I've updated the octopi package.
Try to take a look of the PKBUILD...

I believe people are being discouraged to use Octopi here in the Arch community because it does partial upgrades and partial upgrades are not unsupported.

This is a terrible response. If you don't address the specific concern, testing it is a non-starter.
