Failures in sddm after pam upgrade

As usual, I upgraded my system yesterday to the latest package versions: everything worked as usual, but after restart I was unable to enter my Plasma desktop environment by sddm.

In order to start, I tried several times by stopping sddm service and starting again, but I was unable to get login. Eventually I got login by removing the autologin in sddm.conf (it was configured as my own user and plasma.desktop session), and starting sddm manually. Tried to enable the service in order to get a login screen but still didn't work.

Then, I tried by changing my session manager to lightdm in order to start my plasma session, first by edition of pam modules (/etc/pam.d) lightdm and lightdm-autologin in order to get automatic session start, and changed user (to my own) and session to plasma.desktop but I was unable to get autologin, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I was able only to get a login screen, never logged in automatically. Tried enabling these options in lightdm.conf: 'pam-service=lightdm', 'pam-autologin-service=lightdm-autologin' and 'pam-greeter-service=lightdm-greeter'.

I found suspicious that pam and pambase were upgraded, and reverted their update to previous version (20190105.1-2 for pambase and 1.3.1-2 for pam), and then sddm worked again, even with autologin. And same with lightdm, automatic login (but not with 'plasma.desktop' but with only 'plasma' in 'Session'), and it started with an incomplete Plasma session (kwin and the panel didn't start); maybe I'm still configuring something wrong in lightdm.

So, I don't know if there's another configuration pending for sddm to work together with the new pluggable auth modules again. Or maybe is that a bug? I tried with another Arch install with the same configuration and got the same result.

gdm also needs updating for gdm-smartcard
lightdm also needs updating for lightdm-autologin

There were no .pacnew files for this update. I just made a double check now. Editing the compromised files worked fine, but they have to be changed manually.

Worked flawlessly! Manual removal of the line mentioning pam_tally.so gives immediate results. It was in lightdm-autologin and sddm-autologin files, just commenting is enough.
