gpg problem importing keys

I am trying to install stack-static and spotify with the AUR helper yay but I am getting the following error:

:: Importing keys with gpg...
gpg: keyserver receive failed: General error
problem importing keys

I am completly new to gpg and tried the advice of another thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=255543
I added "keyserver https://keys.openpgp.org" to ~/.gnupg/dirmng.conf and restarted dirmngr with "systemctl --user restart dirmngr" but then I get the following error when I am installing with yay:

:: Importing keys with gpg...
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0
problem importing keys

Do anybody know what the problem could be?
