[SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

5 time out of 6 when I boot I will not have bluetooth and the logs says `Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.`

Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

Check your complete logs for 5 out of those 6 times. Post them here if you don't understand what they are telling you.

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

The problem is that it's all I have from `journalctl`

When the conditions are checked that's all it prints around it, other output are from completely different things

but, for example today I didn't managed to connect anything in bt with this computer, and heres what i got

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

What is the full output of `systemctl status bluetoothd` it should display the condition check that caused the service to be skipped similar to:

systemctl status systemd-firstboot.service
● systemd-firstboot.service - First Boot Wizard
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-firstboot.service; static)
     Active: inactive (dead)
  Condition: start condition failed at Thu 2020-09-03 14:46:46 UTC; 2h 31min ago
             └─ ConditionFirstBoot=yes was not met

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

Please post the output from when you have the issue in code tags.
Edit:
/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service from bluez 5.54-2

[Unit]
Description=Bluetooth service
Documentation=man:bluetoothd(8)
ConditionPathIsDirectory=/sys/class/bluetooth

[Service]
Type=dbus
BusName=org.bluez
ExecStart=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd
NotifyAccess=main
#WatchdogSec=10
#Restart=on-failure
CapabilityBoundingSet=CAP_NET_ADMIN CAP_NET_BIND_SERVICE
LimitNPROC=1
ProtectHome=true
ProtectSystem=full

[Install]
WantedBy=bluetooth.target
Alias=dbus-org.bluez.service

The only condition is:

ConditionPathIsDirectory=/sys/class/bluetooth

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

`/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service` doesn't exist but `/sys/class/bluetooth/` does (but it's empty)

Please also fix your posts to use code tags.  See my request in post #4 when the issue occurs in addition please supply the journalctl output for that boot.

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

@vf, what specifically do you not understand about using code tags? Read the Instructions, then update and fix your posts. The ``` thing isn't BBCode. It's hard to read your posts otherwise and people won't help. You've been asked several times in this thread already.

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

What command generated https://pastebin.com/vCnfgbyt?  It covers 160 boots but many only have one entry,  perhaps caused by:

sept. 13 09:43:25 user-localhost systemd-timesyncd[531]: System clock time unset or jumped backwards, restoring from recorded timestamp: Sun 2020-09-13 11:42:48 CEST

The start and end of the boot is missing.

sept. 13 11:43:15 user-localhost systemd[1]: Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

The record of interest is there.  I can not find a cause for the failure.

Cold boot and/or static discharge

But it stills an aberration that Linux stills have that kind of problems...

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

vf.  Use this opportunity to go fix your posts with BBCode code tags.  https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode

You have been asked several times to do this.  If you fail to do so, I shall have to close and dustbin this thread.

Also, what does electrostatic discharge have to do with an operating system?

Re: [SOLVED] Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

OP has a point, solution from reddit which helped me:

1. Turn off the PC.
2. Unplug power cable to PSU.
3. Hold power button for 30 seconds.
4. Plug power back into PSU.
5. Boot PC.
