Here is what happened to me today: I performed a system update with
sudo pacman -Suvy
During the update the system crashed for an unrelated reason. When trying to reboot I found
/boot/vmlinuz-linux
/boot/initramfs-linux.img
missing.
I think this is very bad.
Is it possible that when the system crashed the old kernel and initrd files had been deleted but the new ones not created yet?
Is this normal?
