2I mounted a device in the problematic USB port a few days ago, and it worked just fine. I haven't made any changes to the BIOS/UEFI settings. I plugged two external HDs, a couple of pen drives and my Android tablet to the problematic USB port, and none was recognized. They were all successfully recognized and mounted in the other two USB ports. Can someone help me to sort this out? Thank you in advance.

Have you tried booting live-usb of some other distro and check USB-port? (to get some reference state). Did the problem started after update? Have you tried to boot the last kernel which you used before problem occurs? Can you list what changed (updates etc.) between the time you're sure that the USB was working and now?

better yet, try to booting live-usb from the suspected usb port. If it doesn' boot it's likely BIOS/Hardware related.
Offline
And since there seems a unused sata drive w/ a complex partition table I assume you have a parallel windows installation?
In that case see the 3rd link in my signature. Otheriwse it sounds HW related for sure :-(

Thank you! I had forgotten that I had a parallel Windows installation since I never use Windows. I booted into Windows, and I was still unable to mount devices using the problematic USB port. The problem is thus hardware related. Thank you for the suggestions, @3yan, @solskog and @seth.

Just as an aside, inxi shows pretty complete usb data with -J / --usb
While -J is not included in -F by default, -FJxxzy creates pretty good output that is readable as well. -J shortcut was recently added so usb could be more easily added to other outputs.
--usb has been available since version 3.0 came out but this feature does not seem to have cracked the awareness of inxi users so far:
