Printing on Fuji-Xerox Docucentre V C5575

Has anyone managed to customise their Arch installation to print on a Fuji Xerox Docucentre V C5575?  Fuji Xerox do not provide drivers.  I have manaaged to extract the ppd from the Mac drivers but I keep getting the error "There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-document-format-not-supported'."  Does anybody know what I can do next?  Do I have to edit the ppd?  Sorry if this is not the right forum for this question but I am desperate.  The printer is the favoured printer for a lot of production companies in Australia and my only recourse would be to dual boot Mac or Windows.  I am really keen to stay Linux only.  I have managed once to do this but I was running Mint then and can't seem to repeat it.  Perhaps it was a different printer model.
Thank you.

We used to have Docucenters. I could never get Linux to work with them, despite their promises that it was possible.

I terminated their contract and replaced them with Ricohs (which worked perfectly from day 1).

Thanks for your reply though it only confirmed what I was starting to realise.  I need to lobby for a different printer!

Yeah, sorry I don't have a better suggestion.
