[SOLVED] Joplin Note acts weird when typing 'fi'

When I edit a note within Joplin and type 'fi' ii gets rendered differently and also the cursor moves to the right by one ( only visually )
Does anyone know why this happens and how to change this behavior.

I already disabled all plugins but it didnt help

[SOLUTION]
Selected font should support font ligatures

I don't know anything about joplin, but what you are describing sounds like it's inserting a ligature.

Does joplin use proportional or monospace fonts?  Or is it designed to use one and you are trying to use the other?

FWIW, I just tried this on OS X with Joplin 1.0.233 and don't see this behaviour.
