Sometimes, the GTK file picker opens too big for my screen.

I have only seen this in the open-source Visual Studio Code (package: code). I can still sort of navigate, but it is quite annoying.

Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad E590
Kernel: Linux-Zen 5.9
WM: i3
DM: LightDM

EDIT: Changed title b/c I said the wrong program.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer but that isn't Nautilus, it's the GTK file-chooser.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Okay. Are there any steps I might take in trying to figure this out?

Re: Sometimes, the GTK file picker opens too big for my screen.

I had a similar issue but I never got around to troubleshooting it because it opened so large it appeared to be a blank screen. My focus at the time was on other aspects of monitors/resolutions and when I set things to default to try a different setup it was fixed. Right at the end of all that I had found a post mentioning the oversized file manager as being so big it was all white. I was like oh damn, that's what that was. So no specific steps but if I have it happen again I would take a look at:
