Re: snd_hda_codec_hdmi hdaudioC0D2: Monitor plugged-in, Failed to power up

Can you reproduce the error in the title with the boot parameter snd_hda_intel.enable_silent_stream=0 set?

Re: snd_hda_codec_hdmi hdaudioC0D2: Monitor plugged-in, Failed to power up

@loqs I had the same error

snd_hda_codec_hdmi hdaudioC0D2: Monitor plugged-in, Failed to power up codec ret=[-13]

in my journalctl log, and I can reproduce it also after setting the

snd_hda_intel.enable_silent_stream=0

kernel parameter from grub.

Re: snd_hda_codec_hdmi hdaudioC0D2: Monitor plugged-in, Failed to power up

The journal message from the title is still present on the

5.10.1

kernel version (from testing repos); however I found a way to disable the silent_stream feature:

although the aforementioned

snd_hda_intel.enable_silent_stream

did not work, I found this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … mments/43) which seemed to be related, so I tried setting

snd_hda_codec_hdmi.enable_silent_stream=0

This worked.

I also attach the output of

systool -vm snd_hda_intel
