networkmanager wait online problem ?

Hi,

Im try move to Arch from other distro and I falil to two problems with networking:

1. - the option "_netdev" for cifs mounts is ignored and mount point is not mounted because system try mount it before network is up.
2. - sshd service failed start with "error bind" because system try starting before network. The unit network-online.target dont help as on other distros.

The services NetworkManager.service and NetworkManager-wait-online.service start without errors.

I will be grateful for any advice.
Thanks.

Re: networkmanager wait online problem ?

I try second installtion on other machine and it worsk there without problems.

On problematic installation during startup the systemd target "Reached target Network is Online" even no ip is asigned to interfaces.

After edit interfaces and change ipv6.method from auto to ignore .. as I have ipv6 disabled in kernel settings.
it start work correctly.

Re: networkmanager wait online problem ?

I have read several posts elsewhere recently from users having issues with the NetworkManager-wait-online.service. This link has info that was useful to them:
