I am using Xfce and lightdm as desktop environment and display manager respectively. I use xfce-power-manager so that whenever I close the laptop's lid, the screen is locked and the laptop goes into sleep mode. Whenever I open the lid, it *should* immediately show me the login/unlock screen. However, while this works, it takes about 30 seconds to resume from sleep. More specifically, as soon as I open the lid the keyboard lights up but it is not responsive, while the screen stays off. Only after about 30 seconds it switches on and I am presented with the unlock screen.
I have the following packets installed:
Xfce Power Manager 4.16.0
lightdm 1.30.0
Could you help me figuring out what it is going on? Thank you!

I guess a relevant log would help.
Try to do a journalctl -f in a terminal, and then suspend and wake it up again, and post the output?
That will show the journal from you suspend until you are in control again, and may be a place to start.
