Connect to archlinux from android tablet

Hi to all,
I would like to be able to connect from my android tablet to my archlinux laptop using vnc via wifi.
I use plasma on the desktop and I would like to use the tablet in portrait mode to read documents inside a calibre library using okular installed on the laptop.
Moreover I would like to be able to leave my user session open on the laptop while I'm connected to it using android.
Can I use only one user?
Is it possible to limit vnc to accept connection only from the local LAN?
Should I use ssh tunnelling?

I understand that setting up your own tunnel is exciting, but have you considered KDE Connect?

From android i use the paid Xplore file manager,  it lets us ssh and/or sftp into teh remote filesystem, most handy for transfering files however there are  many android apps for ssh, see the fine wiki should you need help configuring ssh. As stated, since you use plasma KDE connect may suffice.

I don't need to transfer files. I need to be able to see the remote desktop so that to be able to use calibre and okular. KDE connect does not seem to have such capability. Do you agree?

You want some rdp or vnc client for android.
Personally I just mupdf (viewer) for android to view pdfs and ebooks, fbreader is also a popular solution
