gnome icon does not appears

Hello,

I have recently installed arch on my system and i am facing issue regarding gnome icons , icons are not loading .
I have followed these threads :

but still this issue is not resolve for me.
I am using kernel 5.12.9-arch1-1
gnome-shell : 40.1

I am newbie on linux ,please help me to resolve this..

*What* icons don't appear *where* and what do you see *instead*?

You can see and thus know the exact nature of the problem, everybody else relies on your description - which therefore has to be detailed enough to at least make an informed guess.

I have same problem as OP. I came back to arch after few months, i did the new archinstall method.

Problem - With this fresh install

After installation i started installing apps. First it was Firefox it had its icon. Now installed gimp and vlc doesn't have icon (it has dummy the gear icon). Apps from AUR same.
I installed gimp from flatpak and it had  icon. So guessing i might have missed some package. Installed gnome-extra. Again, same most game and also most extra things doesn't have an icon(so gnome stuff also don't have icon).

I feel i am missing something. Permission problem maybe?. Any one know ?

DE - Gnome 40.2.0
Graphic - NVIDIA(P-Driver)
DM - X11
Installation - archinstall script(livecd one)

UPDATE - Something strange fixed this. I removed VLC and installed VLC from flatpak, Now all icons are back. QT problem? My issue is no more.
