From the subject and the screenshots I assume that your problem is that you can't run startx.

Since the X11 server runs and terminates fine and you're using the xinitrc in /etc: you don't have twm or xterm installed.
If you want to run a different session, you need to write your personal xinitrc, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xinit#xinitrc
