So I believe it's all good.
New version has just been released (13:16 GMT). Happy packaging
Looking forward to grabbing a copy

<EnjoMitch> http://rafb.net/paste/results/jV11DP30.html
<thelusiv> i saw it cool
<EnjoMitch> here is the full flag list
<thelusiv> that's exactly what i needed to know, thanks

EnjoMitch, could you inform the vdrift developers ?

Thanks. I passed it on IRC channel and forum.
[EDIT]
thelusiv asked me to make an announcement on main page. If there is any specific info about the package then the announcement there is a good place to ... place it
Vdrift files in source box at AUR don't work

Ok, it's the same problem we are having with sourceforge mirrors for some time now.
See http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=24465
I am changing the pkgbuild to use a specific sf mirror for the download as that works all the time.
EDIT : Download URL's changed, new pkgbuild uploaded.

Shouldn't the PKGBUILD create a symlink in PATH to vdrift binary ?
Offline
a symlink in path seems a bit overkill for 1 command, but there are other ways to achive that.
I've included a .desktop entry that will put vdrift in the kDE & Gnome menu, and you can start it by using the absolute path in a terminal
A simple shell script in /usr/bin could be used to start vdrift from any place, but i felt arch users who need it can make that themselves, so i didn't include it.
Here's an example script :
#! /bin/sh
/usr/share/vdrift/bin/vdrift $*As root put it in /usr/bin and make it executable.

Even Archers are lazy, I'd include it.
Haven't been here in a while. Still rocking Arch. ![]()

Here is a PKGBUILD for the last vdrift release ! (2007-03-23)
It's a rework from Lone_Wolf (thanks a lot Lone_Wolf).
You can see more details from a comment I post to http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … =1&ID=7066
Hope this PKGBUILD works for you too...

I've finally had the time to update my packages (between jobs atm) and made a pkgbuild for the 2007.03.23 version .
changes in PKGBUILD :
works with pacman 3
builds with force feedback support
symbolic link so starting works better
correction for illegal typedef in source (needed since gcc 4.2.0 )
support for x86_64 in pkgbuild, arch=x86_64 will be added once i have confirmation that it works.
@ Gyo : thanks for your pkgbuild. It made it a lot easier for me to make the new pkgbuild.

any way someone have a more recent PKGBUILD? both packages in AUR are dying on me
