[SOLVED] Programs not starting when changing hostname (xfce)

I changed my hostname from "myhostname1" to "myhostname2" using

sudo hostname myhostname2

and I cannot start programs anymore. I guess it is because the XFCE-session does not detect I changed the hostname and tries to use "myhostname1" for executing programs and stuff. If I log out and in again it works. But is there away to change that without having to log out and in again?

It's not xfce but X11.
