wireless out of box

hello. I have been unsuccessful in getting my wifi card to work with arch & wpa (wmp45g with rt2500 driver). A roommate of mine would like to purchase my wmp54g (he runs ubuntu and it works well on that distro) and I plan on ordering a new card for myself.

What card do you guys recommend? I am looking for one that would work out-of-the-box with arch.

thanks.

Netgear WG311T

It works great for me, and it uses the madwifi drivers.

Re: wireless out of box

You may check the hardware compatibility list on linuxquestions.org:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/index.php?cat=10

The problem is many of those hardware companies had multiple chipsets in a different revs. of the same model number and product, because of changing the chipset while they still churn out their product.

So i went with the Netgear MA311, because they have all the same chipset and work out of the box with orinoco_pci.
