lightdm login and desktop wallpaper

hello.

i just installed archlinux with xfce4 desktop environment. Moreover I installed lightdm-webkit2-greeter and now i have a problem.

The login screen is ok (lightdm). When i put the password, the next screen i see is my panel with date, and menu buttons and instead of desktop wallpaper it shows again the login screen. I removed the ./Xauthority but the problem persists.

Any ideas??

Re: lightdm login and desktop wallpaper

I assume you're seeing a residual on the root window, because xfdektop fails or lags, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=273358
See whether the process is up.

feh --bg-fill /path/to/some/landscape.jpg

would set an image on the root window (for visual confirmation of the perceived effect)

Re: lightdm login and desktop wallpaper

Yes the process is up.

When i enter the password in login screen it follows with the panel and wallpaper (only for 2 seconds) and then shows a black screen for 2 seconds and then it shows in the place of wallpaper the login screen again. But the panel, menu, and concky remain in the correct possition.

Update:
in the task manager it shows lightdm-webkit2-greeter running. I terminated process and the login screen disappeared and everything is in position. I logged out and login again and everything works. But the problem persists with clear boot.

Check the journal - I assume the greeter crash-restarts?
