多謝了,感覺清爽多了。。。

只是在觀看論壇時,字體又醜又小,應該如何調整呢? wink

I tried your packges, and I just want to report that while i had kde-mod and qt-mod installed, my gtk programs had aliased fonts. I just now reverted to the 'official' arch kde and qt pkgs, and now gtk fonts are antialiased. I have been using the clearlooks gtk engine. (however, I did not install kdeutils-mod and kdegraphics-mod)

I can not reproduce this. All GTK1 and GTK2 apps have antialiased fonts here, so i think it is something about your config... Maybe you have to fiddle a bit around with your gtk-qt-engine...

IMHO KDE does not affect the font rendering of GTK-apps, except when you use the gtk-qt-engine and assign your QT-theme to GTK...

I think i had same problem here, case with ugly fonts en & tw.

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

Well, i have no such problems with fonts, seems to be a bit weird...
screenie7qu8.th.png

The only thing which may differ from other setups is that i have not the newest version of ttf-ms-fonts installed but still 1.3-8.

Have you checked the antialiasing-setting in the control-center? Mine is set to hinting style = full and subpixel hinting = rgb...
Or maybe the settings do no work?

If you can, give me some more infos, i will appreciate it smile

hat has been stripped out:
......kpdf, kolourpaint, kget...

why not kicker or kwin also? tongue kget is the KDE download manager which i use in konqueror (I don't use KDE to launch firefox, thunderbird or xmms), I use also kpdf and I don't want any GTK stuff or acroread tongue kolourpaint - do I have to open every image in Krita to do small edits?

indeed, i use those too. and i love to see kooka in here as well, as i need to scan now and then... if those are added, i can start using this as well ;-)

please?
edit: looks like, except for kooka, these changes are already done! nice! i'll go downloading right away, i don't scan that often anyway... big_smile

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

great work, it's very cool to see the real transparancy in konsole ;-)
i have two suggestions:
-  you might wanna try the kdepim-featues branch, it's stabilizing now. i've been using it for some time, it has some nice features and is stable (for me). http://www.kdedevelopers.org/blog/1451
second, maybe you have seen anything to help KDE work better with compiz/beryl? currently, the kicker pager applet doesn't show windows on anything but the first desktop, and the taskbar always shows the tasks from all desktops, rendering multiple desktops in beryl unusable...

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

Thx for feedback. When you try it out, please tell me any bugs you might encounter...

I will include kooka and some other missing apps this weekend and try to clean up the PKGBUILDS a bit, they are a bit unclean and hackish here and there wink

I have read that the kdepim-features branch will be included in 3.5.6, so i think i will just wait for this. I have tried the patches they built into this branch before, and they were just a mess. Half of them did not apply cleanly and KDEpim did not build, or the apps were just unstable. So i better wait until the KDE devs release it... 3.5.6 will be released in about one month...

About the beryl thing: Beside the konsole patch, there is only one other patch floating around to "improve" the systray behavior for beryl/compiz, but this one also made kicker unstable. I had this patch included in 3.5.4, but i removed it after checking it out... So i think we just have to wait and/or fill some bug reports to get full beryl/compiz support in KDE...

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

well, thanx for including kooka. i didn't find any bugs sofar...

i use the kdepim features branch (the seperate branch, not in the form of patches), works fine. but yes, it'll probably be in 3.5.6, so that's good enough - i just continue to compile it myself ;-)

let's hope someone fixes beryl/compiz support. in the meantime, i'm experimenting with Kwin_composite from lubos (kde4 branch), but it's not working yet.

Thanks.

You can't see the repo with your browser, but adding it to your pacman.conf as described in the first post, you'll be able to use it.

I have now enabled directory browsing for the repo. So if you have the need to browse through it, just go here:

http://funkyou.hinterhof-hosting.de/arch/kdemod/

There is also a small update. I have added kooka to the list of available apps.

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

works flawless with beryl/aiglx here, but before the release of the new nv drivers i ran it with XGL and worked fine too...

maybe you could post your errors/logs here and we will see

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

I need to clarify what is the real problem, then i will make a new thread.

Im using the opensource ati driver for my 9600 mobility but all i get is a black screen with my cursor and a frozen system.
It also says "XGL not present" even I installed everything. I need a daemon or sth? But this is offtopic to this thread now...

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

hi,
is it possible to remove the imlib dependency kde-graphics has??? it's the only reason it's on my system...  it's not even mentioned in http://www.kde.org/info/requirements/3.5.php

Re: kdemod - a lightified and modular KDE + additional patches

I wanted to install kaudiocreator without all the other apps in kdemultimedia, but don't know how...

your work helped me a lot. thanks!!

I used your PKGBUILDs as a base for my own ones. I called them "kdemultimedia-base" and "kdemultimedia-kaudiocreator".
They work fine with the original arch kde packages (kdebase)

well, i am not able to understand the slightest of it wink and my translator gives me "Asked has installed your wrap, but also may again install extra amarok? Thanks."...

hey i know you are able to write english, so just do it smile

...and a guess: if you want to install amarok from extra while having kdemod installed, this should be no problem at all...
