I had no issues to connecting to wifi when working from the archiso, but now when I reboot and log into the new system ip link does not list wlan0 as it did before. I have no idea what packages I might be missing.

Did you install the linux-firmware package?
If so then please post the outputs of lsusb and lspci.

I did install the linux-firmware package. lsusb just says command not found. lspci shows this:

Are you having the same problem as the person in this post here?
If so, I'm guessing you need to have the brcm80211 package installed but not broadcom-wl. See Broadcom Wireless in the wiki.
