Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused [SOLVED]

Good news is, we're back to where we started.  I asked for your ~/.xinitrc in post #2 as it sounds like the original problem was there.  But then that original problem was compounded by downgrading, removing / changing drivers, and creating an xorg.conf.  Now it sounds like you've undone all those additional problems, so now we just need to fix your xinitrc.  The first step is for you to post the full contents of your ~/.xinitrc here.

Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused [SOLVED]

By removing everything else in my .xinitrc except dwm it still terminates after 3 seconds. I followed the archlinux installation guide Arch Linux Installation Guide and Mental Outlaws youtube video. This has not been an issue before so I can't see why my installation is the problem.

Because then likely DWM crashes?
Did you rebuild it after recent updates?

And your xinitrc is broken nevertheless, see the last link below…

You're backgrounding your WM, of course X.org exits as there's nothing it's running.

Yes I believe that I did rebuild it. I did so again but I can't find any errors.

Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused [SOLVED]

Now it "works" just not how i configured it. I actually managed to get to this point previously only that it required root privileges.
EDIT: No keyboard or mouse input works and it is showing on the laptop not external monitor.

Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused [SOLVED]

DO NOT RUN X AS ROOT!

Read the above line several times.  Feel free to yell it outloud as indicated by the all caps.  The fact that it "works" is because running as root doesn't use your completely broken xinitrc.  Fix your xinitrc.  Really.  That's been the only real problem since the start of this thread.  But you keep creating other problems by ignoring the advice you are given and instead flailing doing foolish things that cause more breakage.

Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused [SOLVED]

That xinitrc *cannot* "work" and if you do/did something stupid like "sudo startx" your $HOME is full of wrong file ownerships (that will block subsequent X11 starts)…

I followed … Mental Outlaws youtube video.

Install ubuntu…

Alternatively fix your xinitrc and check the files in your $HOME for bogus ownership??

I am sorry that I did not take the advice correctly, and that I have wasted a lot of your time. I will look into what you said about ownership.
