[solved]module is unknown error

hi there, how are you doing. i was using my computer with arch installed in it, i thought of installing selinux, i followed the arch wiki for that and i reached the step of installing pam-selinux i tried to relogin to check if it is still possible to do so. however i was not able to login and i got "module is unknown" error message. i checked the other threads here and outside about similar error but none of them seems to be related to my issue. some of them says that i need to change /etc/pam.d/login file and their reason was another missing file in the same directory and there is another thread here that says that the full update of the system is required (this i still did not try since it may not be directly related to my issue). i made sure /etc/pam.d/login-system is as described in selinux arch wiki page but still not working please help me

Re: [solved]module is unknown error

anyway i solved the problem, i just had to reinstall pambase package which is original package that the configs work with, it will delete pambase-selinux, and it worked. actually i am not newbie to linux, maybe i am newbie to arch itself but for linux i started using it in 2008, i got stuck to ubuntu then i moved to gentoo and i use it as my main OS, arch i install it in another machine

Re: [solved]module is unknown error

This has nothing to do with "newbie" - w/o the actual data it's impossible to say what and where the problem is.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
