I recently installed the moc-pulse package from the AUR. It built as intended. I also did a git clone for https://github.com/Lukkario/mocicon-tweak and made mocicon with no issues.
When I attempt to run mocp via the terminal, I get the following output:
FATAL_ERROR: Can't create directory /moc: Permission denied
when I sudo mocp:
Can't load plugin libaac_decoder: file not found
Can't load plugin libmusepack_decoder: file not found
Running the server...
Trying JACK...
Trying ALSA...
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:999:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
Trying OSS...
FATAL_ERROR: No valid sound driver!
FATAL_ERROR: Server exited!
What is odd to me, is when I run mocicon and launch moc from the tray icon, mocp opens and plays music as intended.
I'm unsure what might be causing this, and would like to have this working for both mocicon and mocp through the terminal. Many thanks for the help!

I followed these articles. There wasn't any issues with the audio and I was able to get the plugins working fine. My only issue now is that I still cannot run without sudo, or I get the following error.
mocp
FATAL_ERROR: Can't create directory /moc: Permission denied
My only thought is that I need to be a part of a specific group to which I am in the group of wheel, audio, libvirt, plugdev, and $USER.
Did I miss something? Thanks!
