I am having an issue where my speakers buzz whenever sound is not being played. It is exactly like this issue: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=235044. I can fix the issue by running
echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save. However I still have buzzing whenever I shutdown, boot, or suspend to ram.
This was not happening at all a few weeks ago, so I'm guessing that an update broke something so that the sound device no longer goes to power save properly. I can band-aid the problem as above, but I don't think that is the real issue. I tried downgrading some kernel packages, but that didn't help. Perhaps I'm downgrading the wrong packages, but at this point, I'm just guessing.
Here is the list of packages I downgraded:
linux-5.19.13.arch1-1-x86_64 --> linux-5.19.13.arch1-1-x86_64
linux-firmware-20220913.f09bebf-1-any --> linux-firmware-20220815.8413c63-1-any
linux-firmware-whence-20220913.f09bebf-1-any --> linux-firmware-whence-20220815.8413c63-1-any
linux-headers-5.19.13.arch1-1-x86_64 --> linux-headers-5.19.12.arch1-1-x86_64
If anyone can direct me a way forward to solve this issue, then I will appreciate.
