PostfixAdmin without php-imap

I am now following the steps of PostfixAdmin and  Virtual user mail system with Postfix, Dovecot and Roundcube  to set up a mail server and am trying to install PostfixAdmin.
The php-imap extension is no longer supported, but PostfixAdmin needs it.

Arch News wrote:

The imap extension will no longer be provided as it relies on the c-client library which has been abandoned for many years.

Can I use PostfixAdmin without the php-imap extension?
Thanks.

Re: PostfixAdmin without php-imap

It seems postfixadmin only used php-imap to create initial folders for imap , see https://github.com/postfixadmin/postfixadmin/issues/251

Dovecot is named in that thread as one of the mail servers that can do that itself .
Have you tried running postfixadmin without the php-imap ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
