Forget about the unpatched version.
Why would you expect that to run?
And again: the backtrace for the unpatched version is useless.
Does the patched version run with the software renderer?
Also try a single keyboard layout and have a look at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewforum.php?id=30
Offline
Can you compress and post somewhere (googledrive or else) that patched version, so I can try it on my system if it will crash and how?

So the original problem is solved \o/
I couldn't make too much out of the youtube video, but you probably do not want to use an interlaced modeline (1920x1080i)
In doubt you could run the game in windowed mode and use the windowmanager to set it fullscreen.
You could also try another windowmanager (eg. openbox, I guess you're using xfwm4/xfce right now?)
ps I am from Ukraine
Yes, I saw your keyboard layout.
There're Ukrainians and Russians on this board (and other people (probably from eastern Europe) that are simply fluent in Russian) and they can either ignore you or get banned for dragging the shitshow of this conflict here.
Remember that there 150 million Russians and, as all humans, they're probably not all alike - and you need some higher education, ideally speak English and certainly have exposure to international information to be able to install archlinux

Totally NOT agree!!! Not solved.
Original ut gives crash, patched not working at full screen, but at Fedora and Debian all working good, so its Arch issue i think.
Its not "conflict" its WAR against Ukrainians and all Freeworld and you too! That WAR starting by russian orks! orks not humans! you speeking like orks propaganda! You still living and have good life because we Ukraininans fight for you and all Europe! So you wrong!

This is why we need somebody who's fluent in Ukrainian or Russian and English… you probably barely understand half of what I say.
Be careful to make judgements on this inherently flawed basis.
The *original* complaint was that that UT99 doesn't start and that's now resolved, isn't?
The *remaining* issue is the fullscreen mode - and you kinda ignored my comments on that.
Its not "conflict" its WAR against Ukrainians and all Freeworld
Yes, but not on this board. It's bad enough that it happens in your home country.
There's a specific board rule about what and what topics are appropriate here. International conflicts are not.

what meen "do not want use interlaced"? i set native 1920x1080 and try differnt refresh rates 60-75hz
why you think that its wm problem? other games working well at full screen here. problem only with patched ut. so its ut patch problem.

running but something with refresh rate, at fullscreen in patched ut only refresh rate go to 25-50hz and this gives interlacing effect

What is the output of
xrandr -q
Are you setting the different modes from within the game?
why you think that its wm problem?
I didn't say that.
The idea was to rely on the fullscreen feature of the window manager rather than that of UT99, but let's first have a look at the xrandr output.
Also please post an xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General

[ 276.270] (II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "DVI-I-2:1920x1080_75.00"
I guess that was UT99? Though I'd assume the game to pick the default mode (60Hz)
The 1920x1080_50i modeline doesn't show up anywhere, but you're running on a 50Hz mode despite the default 60Hz
1. Let's see whether one of those is the 50Hz interlaced one.
xrandr --verbose
2. Do you have problems w/ the 60Hz mode? What are the symptoms?
Why did you add the custom modelines?
Apparently the outputs EDID is pretty messed up:
[ 103.687] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): The EDID for DELL S2421HGF (DFP-0) contradicts itself: mode
[ 103.687] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080" is specified in the EDID; however, the EDID's
[ 103.687] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): valid HorizSync range (30.000-170.000 kHz) would exclude
[ 103.687] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): this mode's HorizSync (28.1 kHz); ignoring HorizSync check
[ 103.687] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): for mode "1920x1080".
Please add "nvidia-drm.modeset=1" to the kernel parameters, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA … de_setting
Then post
edid-decode /sys/class/drm/card0-DVI-I-2/edid
You'll need https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/edid-decode-git
The sound will likely be that UT99 loads snd-pcm-oss or so, we'll deal w/ that afterwards.

Yes its ut. That not i am set 50hz, that patched ut set, and at 50hz picture not interlaced. But then picture interlaced monitor show 20-30hz. I think that all patch problems. Original ut never have such Hz problems.

its long story of buggy driver

in short, i needed more then 60hz, driver can give only 75hz

Which is why I'd suggest to simply use your WM to set the fullscreen, so that UT won't try to set a (bogus) modeline.
https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/getting-started
Alt+F11 should™ work out of the box.

I probably even still have the UT99 CD flying around (though I always liked Quake3 much better
But that won't help because I'm not running it on the same hardware as you and even if i'd hit the same crash:
The coredump would still just show that UT crashed somewhere in some UT99 library - what tells me as little as you.

First and foremost glxinfo.

You could strace or ltrace it and hope that that tells you more about what's going on at that moment, though the 340xx driver is the pink elephant in the room.
