Re: Artifact w/ gnome's aero-snap transition effect

Still the same... Idk, but cairo renderer doesn't change the thing at all.

Did you kill all nautilus processes before? (Alternatively "export GSK_RENDERER=cairo" in some /etc/profile.d/gsk_test.sh and re-login)

Cycling back to the bug linked in the OP:
What's the output of

xrandr -q

?

Lastly: did you meanwhile try the regular (not "zen") kernel?

I killed all nautilus processes. I also tried export GSK_RENDERER=cairo, as you mentioned in a post with reddit link, but situation is the same.

Output of xrandr -q:

xrandr -q
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767
DVI-D-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

   1024x768 75.03 70.07 60.00
   800x600 75.00 72.19 60.32 56.25
   720x576 50.00
   720x480 59.94
   640x480 75.00 72.81 59.94
DP-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

Yes, i tried regular kernel, but issue is persist. I switched back to zen because it is more stable under hard worload.

Edit: The only thing I haven't tried yet is the lts kernel.

Re: Artifact w/ gnome's aero-snap transition effect

The bug in the OP revolved around multiple outputs w/ different frequencies, yours is as basic as it can get, so not the same problem.

Undo the GSK_RENDERER=cairo export and file a bug against mutter (the gnome WM) upstream.
Make sure you've tried the default adwaita theme.

Re: Artifact w/ gnome's aero-snap transition effect

Ok, understood. Should I mark this thread as solved or change the title?

Re: Artifact w/ gnome's aero-snap transition effect

It's not solved for now, but the subject would better indicate that there's an artifact w/ gnome's aero-snap transition effect.
