Hi!
I have recently upgraded NetworkManager to 1.38.4-1, and openconnect to 9.01. The dialog window with username and password no longer shows up when it starts off the VPN in the nm-applet. NetworkManager complains the following,
secrets: failed to request VPN secrets #3: User canceled the secrets request.
I am using i3wm and nm-applet GTK. The solutions online such as "Store the password for all users" in the VPN settings does not work for me, as I could not find the password icon from the setting.
Any suggestion, or is it a bug in the new version? Thank you!

Hi,
Same stack for me: i3wm, nm-applet. I have problems with openconnect too since approx one week. Seems like openconnect won't get the secret from the keyring.
I get the exact same error from
journalctl -u NetworkManager -e
Did you find any solution? I have configured another vpn, which doesn't use openconnect, and it works fine.

Hi,
I have the same problem. XFCE desktop.
My solution was downgrading networkmanager-openconnect to version 1.2.8-2
I hope that new version will resolve this problem.

Same issue here. XFCE Desktop. I tried all of the usual fixes when searching for a solution to this issue. I created a new VPN connection. Nothing worked. I downgraded networkmanager-openconnect to version 1.2.8-2 and things worked again (I got the user/pass prompt, I was able to save password to the keyring, etc). I'm not a fan of having downgraded software and connecting in terminal via "nmcli con up id VPNNAME --ask" works just fine so I'll just wait for an updated package.
