[SOLVED] sudoers file

After the last update I got the message

 warning: /etc/sudoers installed as /etc/sudoers.pacnew

I made a mistake in doing

 sudo mv /etc/sudoers /etc/sudoers.pacold

in order to subsequently change the name of "sudoers.pacnew" in "sudoers".
Now I am enable to act as root.
How can I do? Many thanks in advance.

Log in as root and fix it.

Re: [SOLVED] sudoers file

Use `su`, or just log in initially (to a tty) as root.

I tried "su" and it does not work.
i never logged in to a tty as root after the install. What is the correct procedure? I would like to avoid some further mistakes. Thank you.

Re: [SOLVED] sudoers file

"does not work" is not an error message.

The procedure for loging into a tty hasn't changed.  You are prompted for a username and password.  Enter these at the prompts!

You're right, "does not work" is not an error message."
I apologize.
Thank you for the explanations and for your time.
Best regards

p.s.: I didn't know the tty activation procedure, however, after a little research, I managed to activate it. Thanks again
