Hi,im getting an issue where i have to run pacman update before i can install packages ... its not every time but its getting to that moment where it gets to it.
I updated my mirror  by speed and closest to my country but still same issues.
I never had this before, anyone can give me an insight what to do ?

What causes you to make this assertion.   What happens, specifically [post the command plus its output], if you do not use -Syy before -Syu   ?

Re: [SOLVED] pacman -Syy / pacman -Syu before i can install packages

Well, yes. Packages get updated and so do the databases. Hence, if you did not update for a while, you'll get errors regarding not-found packages on the mirrors, because they have been replaced with newer versions.
However, never ever run pacman -Sy[y] followed by pacman -S. You're then partially updating your system, which is not supported.
My personal advice is to always install packages via pacman -Syu packages, which is also what I always do. IMHO pacman -S package is completely nonsensical (waiting to get scolded by Allan).

Re: [SOLVED] pacman -Syy / pacman -Syu before i can install packages

I always do pacman -Syy and pacman -Syu and then i do pacman -S  if i can not install packages right away.
But what makes me think its strange as in over the years i never had this issue ... sometimes i  do pacman -Syy/Syu once in 3 to 6 months when i cant install anything or sometimes just to update the system but never had any issues and its only now started to bug me ... maybe because its a fresh install? ( as  i was using other os for time being )

Break this habit.  Just get rid of the first of these all together.

Nope.  Just coincidence.  You are not updating frequently, so this problem can show up sporadically: some packages that are not updated frequently may still be able to be installed just fine with `pacman -S $pkg`, but others will give a 404 error from each of the mirrors.

If you rarely update, then I agree with Schard that you should just use `pacman -Syu $pkg` every time you want to install something new (just one pacman command, not three).  Though I disagree with `pacman -S $pkg` being nonsensical in general.  It would not be good for you Efka, due to the low frequency of full updates - but for anyone who updates more frequently, installing a new package with `pacman -S $pkg` will work a vast majority of the time.  And in those rare cases when it fails, it will fail safely.
