Wireless Network periodically disconnects

I've been getting strangely regular network disconnects for a few minutes or hours at a time, and it's getting disruptive. Am unsure what might be causing it.

Well that's not really speed spikes (I wasn't sure why spikes would be a problem) - but you are loosing networking periodically.

What is that image from?  What are the colors?  Download and upload I might guess.  Where is the x-axis?

Wild guess, are you running more than one networking service?  Post the output of `find /etc/systemd -not -name '*.conf'`.

And is this still the external WLAN adapter mentioned in your previous thread?

Yeah, dips would've probably been the better term.

Graph is from KDE networks info page on the taskbar. Not sure what the exact time scale of the x-axis is, but it's about a minute. Orange is uploads, blue is downloads.

Yes, this is the same WLAN adapter that I'd been using while I was troubleshooting the previous issue.
