Since the big Thunderbird upgrade to 115 I have constantly problems with my thunderbird. I cannot use calendar function with caldav anymore because thunderbird freezes by clicking on an added caldav (network) calendar.
Other big distributions like Ubuntu based ones do not provide Thunderbird 115, yet. Is there a way to downgrade to former version 113? Can it be used still?
Thanks for your help!

Just for info.
I use Thunderbird 115:
extra/thunderbird 115.2.3-1 [installed]
Standalone mail and news reader from mozilla.org
And CalDAV works just fine with my calendar on hover.com
Meaning the problem may be related to something other than Thunderbird 115 and CalDAV?
With respect to downgrading, there's a wiki article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Downgrading_packages

Just for info => same problem with me, since upgrade thunderbird is only painful, I had to disable all calendars...
I am on Endeavour-Cassini-nova running thunderbird-115.2.3 (64-Bit)

I tried in addition Betterbird and also an AppImage of Thunderbird-115.3.0. All of them show the same instabilities as soon as I activate the calendars.

If you see nothing from the activity manager (double-click the status bar), then it may be worth trying to enable more logging.
Mozilla has some info:

I found a solution. If you use Thunderbird (beta) Version 119 it works fine (again!!).
The only problem with this version is not all plugins are working, e. g. cardbook.
Because it is essentially for me in the meantime I am using TB version 115 with cardbook and for e-mails with address book and TB version 119 for my CALDAV calendars.
