This system is stuck at 1600x900 and I'd just like to get the resolution up to 1920x1080. I'm not seeing the option at all in xrandr by default and after adding a new mode to xrandr and changing to it I get the following:

The output has no higher resolution.
You can
xrandr --output eDP --scale 1.2but that's probably not what you want?
Offline
So the monitor can't go higher it's not a driver issue? That's fine if that's the case I just want to be sure I'm doing the best for it I can.

It at least doesn't advertise more, no. But it's also 106 DPI, no no HiDPI but also not absurdly bad.
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
