But:
- I'm sure my graphic controller supports the i810 drivers (I'm using it now)
- My wifi-card is the ipw2100, not ipw2200 (lspci confirmed me, and in the past I already used ipw2100 with slackware and fedora)
Who do I have to trust?
ps: my laptop is an Acer TravelMate 291Lci

Well, think gfx cards always shows vesa there, has always done so for me atleast "01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corp.|GeForce FX 5200 (vesa)" .
However, just blacklist ipw2200 in /etc/rc.conf , and add ipw2100 to your MODULES=() there.

lshwd is now a bit old and hasn't been updated to handle various changes (e.g. switch to xorg).
