From the symptoms, most likely RT KMS thread:

In general, gnome 45 breaks (all) extensions:

Thank you, i will start with reinstalling all my extensions to see if that helps!

I'd "export MUTTER_DEBUG_KMS_THREAD_TYPE=user" first.
Edit: resp. iCar had to disable experimental features, but the upstream bug also mentions that they had not been enabled at all tbw.

Thanks, will do! i also did the " dconf reset /org/gnome/mutter/experimental-features " in addition to the export. i may have to enable some of it again since i use fractional scaling.

"export MUTTER_DEBUG_KMS_THREAD_TYPE=user" actually seem to fix the problem, i have not had any more crashes since exporting it.
I will test some more and report back but it seems to work so far.

Not sure what to do to get more info about the problem or where to start looking. I've already tried reinstalling all of my extensions to no avail it seems.

Please post your complete system journal for the boot:
sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

Have a look at: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-sh … ssues/7102 and try https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/- … te_1850361
For me it works as a workaround. I asked if a script could solve it for now

That would have been #7, but apparently that's not the only issue for the OP.

Not sure if the changes i made yesterday actually required a reboot, today i have not had any crashes at all. I only ran the command yesterday and added it to /etc/environment so maybe the reboot solved the problem.
I'll wait a few days and then i'll go ahead and mark this as solved.
