cannot connect to eduroam after last update

My uni's wifi (eduroam) worked up until last friday. This weekend I updated my system (the usual pacman -Syu) and everything seemed fine. The connection to my home's wifi works well but I noticed that the one to my uni's wifi doesn't work anymore -- it works on Windows though. I am not that tech savvy so let me know what kind of info you need to help me.

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855

it works on Windows though

3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.

Please post your complete system journal for a boot covering the eduroma failure, eg

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

for the current one.

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

http://0x0.st/Hn6F.txt

here it is.
The logs of the last connection (Hotspottabile) I made is the hotspot from my mobile internet so ignore it.
I don't understand what you meant with that "disable it", sorry. Anyways I rebooted and then I clicked on the uni's wifi to connect so that should be in the logs. Hope this helps!

I'd suggest to try the LTS kernel, but

If you updated friday, why are you running a month old kernel? We're at 6.7.5.

Which of those is it:

The in-tree rtl modules don't cover your chip?

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

This morning I searched some older discussions and one user suggested to downgrade the kernel and it worked for the OP, that's why I wanted to try it too. But nothing changed for me. I'll get back to the latest. Or the LTS as you suggested.
As for the chip, none of those from the AUR, I got the driver from https://github.com/morrownr/8812au-20210629. It's a USB wifi that has a better range that the one on my laptop. But I don't think it matters, because I tried with both and still it doesn't work.
(sorry for many questions, but all the guides to change the kernel use grub to do it but I use efibootmgr, can you share some documentation to do it?)

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

Well how did you install the driver then? The repo is the source of https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtl8812au-dkms-git. You probably should use that package.

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

I didn't know it had an AUR package. I just followed the instructions written on the github repo.

Re: cannot connect to eduroam after last update

quick update: i was planning to install the lts kernel today but i don't know what happened but today it started working again. Yesterday nightI ran pacman -Syu for some updates but I don't know if it's because some package got updated or not. Anyways thank you for the help!
