rebooting linux "from dgpu to igpu"

Hello. I'm just wondering what is the method you guys recommend to
boot linux onto the igpu after it had already been set up for the dgpu.

I'm sure there's a multitude of ways to go about this, so
I figured i should just crowdsource recommendations here.

Thanks in advance.

And they all start with teh question *how* do you "boot linux onto the igpu" itfp.
Do you disable the GPU in the firmware, do you use some tool like optimus manager, …

The next important question is what kind of GPU you have, the newer nvidia GPUs support a complete powerdown on RTD3, so you don't want to do anything like this with them.
