kdenlive crashing

Just yesterday after an update, kdenlive won't start and crashes so I get the error message in a dialog box that
" kdenlive crashed for last startup do you want to reset the configuration files? "

if i click continue i get this:

I tried asking chat gpt and going through forum and reddit and only found one other post that has the same issue but there is no solution.

Mine starts, but if I open an already started project it crashes. I've downgraded to a previous version for the moment.
