I have a Canon Pixma IP3000 here, and it's an awesome printer, except when I got it (I was still on Gentoo) I couldn't get it to work properly (no duplex support, bad colour prints), so I've been using it from the windows installation on my laptop. But since Arch is so awesome, I thought maybe it can work now. So, anyone have experience with running this printer?
I always roll 20s on my disbelieve checks.
You better believe it.

You might want to give Turboprint a try, there is a free version with a few restrictions or there is a full version for EUR 29.95 (approx $39).

Did you try gutenprint as suggested on http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_print … XMA_iP3000 ?

pstocanonbj : http://mambo.kuhp.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~takush … 1_i386.deb

deb2targz: skipping section 'debian-binary'

ahh it seems deb2targz don't build a pacman package it only build a normal targz ... is there anyway to convert the debian depedency+install things?
