Hey i am using thunar as my file manager but everytime, I use it to save something or insert something into libreoffice, it opens a giant window in which i can't see anything, My question is how to adjust that size for overall system

Re: Thunar Window size adjustment in awesomeWM

If you are talking about the save dialog in libreoffice that is not thunar but the file picker of the toolkit. That needs to be set to be floating, not entirely familiar with awesome, but googling with the correct terms gives: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=148205

Re: Thunar Window size adjustment in awesomeWM

Even if so, that dialog box is always that same box... whether you open or save it's the GtkFileChooserDialog and not Thunar.

Re: Thunar Window size adjustment in awesomeWM

when i paste in this code in my layout/init.lua

{ rule = { role = "GtkFileChooserDialog" },
    properties = { floating = true, ontop = true },
    callback = function (c)
        awful.placement.centered(c, nil)
        awful.client.movetotag(tags[mouse.screen][awful.tag.getidx()], c)
    end
}

i get this error

The thing goes into the awful.rules.rules function.
