CVS via HTTP proxy

Hello,

I've been trying the past - let's say two hours (10 mins missing) to checkout the cvs of pacman over a http proxy.

I tried corkscrew as a workaround, since the version of cvs released in arch should not be able to connect using a http proxy directly.

I've read trough the cvs faq, but couldn't get a solution working.
Connecting to cvs servers i get the error message "unknown host", by connecting directly using ssh i get the error message

Proxy could not open connnection to <myhomeipedited>: Forbidden
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host

Anyone ever got CVS running using a http proxy?

Thanks,
STi

Re: CVS via HTTP proxy

CVS protocol will not work with HTTP proxy.

However, from the cvsup man page:

Simply run cvsup under the runsocks command, and add @M3novm to the end of the cvsup command line
